The Junior School, being the feeder primary school of Diocesan Girls’ School, will be offering 4 classes of Primary One in the 2024/25 school year. You are invited to find out more about the School and the Application Details at this website.

Students from families with genuine financial need, including but not limited to those receiving the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) and / or financial assistance provided by the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency (WFSFAA), may apply for school fee remission.  For more details, please click Fee Remission Scheme.

Only GIRLS born between 1st September 2017 and 31st December 2018 are eligible for application.
Please do not apply if your girl is overage or underage.

B) Online Application

1. Parents must open an account at our Primary One admission website. A link is provided at the top right hand corner on that page for creating an account.

2. This account is created solely for the purpose of Application for Primary One Admission 2024-2025 and will be disabled when the School deems suitable.

3. An individual account is needed for each applicant. Please open a different account for each additional applicant within the family.

4. A valid email address is needed to process the application procedures. Please use the same email address for the application of sisters, twins or triplets and throughout the application process. The email address is an important channel for the School to communicate with applicants. Hence, changes cannot be entertained.

5. Download the application form, fill in all the details with a copy of the applicant’s photo attached. A non-refundable application fee of $100 will be charged for each application via credit card (Visa, MasterCard or JCB). The whole process may take 30 to 60 minutes. Please make sure that you will be able to complete the process before 12 noon on 29th August 2023.

6. After submitting the application via the applicant account, parents MUST proceed with printing out the required pages and gathering all the other documents for submission to the School by registered post or courier service between 19th and 30th August 2023.

C) Application Documents

 

Please use ordinary A4 paper for printing or photocopying. DO NOT use heavy paper / glossy paper / photo paper. Clip all the documents at the top left hand corner. DO NOT staple the documents NOR put them into any clear folder.

Arrange the documents in the following order:

  1. The printout of the Information Sheet (to be generated after having completed the application online)
  2. The printout of the Application Form (to be generated after having completed the application online)
  3. A photocopy of the applicant’s Hong Kong birth certificate / Hong Kong identification card / overseas passport and document(s) permitting her stay in Hong Kong
  4. Photocopies of the applicant’s latest school reports or assessment profiles (preferably issued in 2022-2023)
  5. A photocopy of appropriate proof of residential address (including but not limited to stamped tenancy agreement, demand note for rates, public housing tenancy agreement or water / electricity / town gas / residential telephone bills)
  6. A photocopy of the certificate of baptism of Sheng Kung Hui (Anglican) affiliation, if any
  7. Other documents / information, if any (NOT exceeding FOUR A4 single-sided pages); please DO NOT send in portfolios or folders.


D) Submission of Application Documents

1. By REGISTERED POST or COURIER SERVICE, all application documents must be sent to the School in a sealed envelope marked with “Application for Pr. 1 Admission 2024-2025”, addressed to Diocesan Girls’ Junior School, 1 Jordan Road, Kowloon between 19th and 30th August 2023.
Size of the envelope: minimum – 29.7cm X 21cm


2. DO NOT send in more than one application for the same applicant. Applications in duplicates may result in disqualification of the applicant.

3. All documents coming from sisters, twins or triplets MUST be placed in ONE sealed envelope marked with “Sisters” / “Twins” / “Triplets”.

4. Applications with a postage stamp later than 30th August 2023 and/or with a shortage of postage fee will NOT be processed. No notifications will be issued to acknowledge the receipt of such documents.

5. Submission of application documents via means other than those mentioned in Point 1 above will NOT be processed.

6. All documents submitted will be used for the purpose of Primary One Admission 2024-2025 only and will NOT be returned. They will be properly disposed afterwards.

E) Important Points to Note

 
  1. The application procedure is NOT COMPLETE  until the hard copies of ALL application documents are sent to the School by REGISTERED POST or COURIER SERVICE  between 19th and 30th August 2023.  Applications with a postage stamp later than 30th August 2023 and/or with a shortage of postage fee will NOT  be processed. Applications that are incomplete will be considered withdrawn.
  2. It is the parents’ responsibility to submit documents and make arrangements for the applicant to attend any interview on time. Consideration cannot be offered to applicants who have not met the set deadlines.
  3. Please DO NOT offer advantage to school staff or any stakeholder of the school in connection with the application.  DO NOT ENCLOSE any money with the application documents.
  4. The School reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a school place should any information provided be found to be untruthful / inaccurate.
